As a kid, I remember sitting on the couch and watching Andre Agassi duke it out with Pete Sampras on the grassy courts of Wimbledon. Back then, television was really the only way to stay connected to this famous tennis tournament. Nowadays, things are quite different.
I don’t think I’m going to be watching Wimbledon 2011 (June 20th – July 3rd) from my couch. Instead, I plan to use the many tools that technology offers to the public (and did it mention that they’re all free?!). Let me lay out some of my options for you:
A) I can download the official Wimbledon app on my iPhone
B) I can go to the official website (where there is a live blog and radio feed)
C) I can watch live footage online at www.espn3.com
D) Starting June 25th, I can watch live streaming on NBC’s online website
E) I can follow @Wimbledon on Twitter and receive constant updates
F) I can “Like” Wimbeldon on Facebook and follow all the action there
This year, no matter where I am, I’ll be able to watch the best in tennis duke it out.
